Coool weather........

Finally! The weather has changed to something less than "Hotter than Hell..."

Of course, it does this after I spent three days out in the parking lot at work, in the 100+ degree weather on the hot asphalt during one of out tent sales....and working 12 hour shifts.

I thought I was going to melt into a puddle of goo.


But, today, the sun is not shining, and theres a nice breeze, and the temperature has dropped over 20 degrees, and I have the day off.

I'm loving it. :-)

James "Scotty" Doohan died

Wow, Scotty died today....

A great man, who'll be missed...

Yeah, I actually cried. I had met him a few years back at a convention.

He asked that all the people there call him "Uncle Jimmy"..

Damn, he was just.....a really nice Guy.

Everyone was screaming to meet Shatner, and we were all backstage.

I was standing there and he walked up and leaned against the wall beside me and asked...

"So, you're not in line to meet Mr Blowover?"

I almost laughed myself silly. We talked for about 10 minutes and I told him that he was the reason I decided to go into engineering, and he gave me a hug.

Zapped!

Well, just to let you all know...I'm co-ordinating this blog with my Star Wars one...






Today I spent 9 hours ripping the wiring out of the entire audio room at work and rewiring it.

No problem, except...

I was cutting through a bundle of speaker wire, and halfway through, discovered that there was a power cord in there.

Now, cutting through a power cord with a pair of metal wire strippers is, well, a bad thing.

So, I found myself on my arse, with a now half melted pair of strippers, part of my thumbnail taken off....and a small hole in my right sock.

I still have this weird taste in my mouth, and my hair is 'poofier' in spots.

Yeah...I love my job!
