Navy Recruiters

Man, these guys just won't take no for an answer.

I have gotten 2 more calls in the last 2 weeks, and a letter to my home reminding me that I have until my birthday this year to go back in.

I was joking with some co-workers that..

If it's gotten to the point where they're calling up a bunch of old geezers like me...

Then we're royally screwed!!!

I don't think I'm going to take them up on ther offer. But sometimes I wonder what it would be like to still be in the service.

I dunno.

Customer Service?

Okay, my job has asked me to give blood, now I actually arm wrestled a customer today to convince him to buy some cables.

Sheesh! :-)

These two guys came in today, obviously right from the gym.

The one guy bought a nice DVD player, and I told him he needed to get the component cables.

He kinda laughed and held out his wallet and said:

"Sweetie, if you can break my grip on my wallet, I'll buy whatever cables you want to sell me."

Well........

*evil snicker*

I simply pulled up on his pinky ( a sure way to break anyones grip), and handed him a set of $30 cables.

Yep, he bought them. :-)

Sometimes, I love my job.

Giving blood

Well, yesterday, my boss volunteered me and some of the other guys ta work to donate blood.

Lucky me. They always have trouble getting blood out of this stone. :) It hurt the entire time!

However, I did get to see my boss wuss out at the last second. Classic!

On that note, he asked me if I wanted to go back into management. The company is probably going to be going public in the next couple of years, the way we are growing right now. I used to be a manager, but it was making me insane. I mean, the money's better, and the opportunity to get my own store is great, but I have to admit, I love being in sales.

I dunno. Maybe. The hours are longer, but I'd have more say so in what happens. Also, we're going to be opening some stores in Myrtle Beach next year.

I'd love to go down there to help open some new stores. :-)

Funny Customers

Anyone from the SW site that reads this will appreciate this:

I was waiting on this older customer today, and when we finished up his deal, he shook my hand.

Then he said "Hey, May the Force be with Ya."

When I looked at him kinda oddly, he said: "

You remember Star Wars, right?"

We both had a good laugh.

That made my day.

Reagans Funeral

I watched his funeral last night. Cried during thw whole thing.

So deeply moving and touching. Having it at sunset like he wanted only added to the beauty of the ceremony.

Watching Nany break down on the casket had me weeping. She looked so lost and alone, even while surrounded by all her family and friends.

My heart just cried for her.

I'm gonna miss you Ronnie.

They are everywhere out here.

Bleah.

Tuesday, June 08, 2004

Well, today was another boring..long meeting at work. It wouldn't be so bad, but we have to drive all the way out to Reynoldsburg for the thing. Bleah.

Got to see the new stuff, nothing really new.

But, I did win another pair of JBL tower speakers.

Go me!

Ouch.

Well, I learned something new today....

Do not apply Ben-Gay to your shoulder, and then wipe your eyes with the same hand about 10 minutes later.

Trust me......good advice.

In other news, former President Raegan died yesterday.

When I heard this I almost cried. He was the first president I had ever voted for, and I had actually met him once while still in the service.

A fine man.

At least he's in a better place now.

*leaves jellybeans in remembrance*

Those darn kids.

Okay, I let my kids go into my room to watch tv and stuff. Sometimes they take snacks in, but i told them they had better clean it all up or else.

I'm in my room, and notice that it smells.........odd. I vacuum, dust and everything. No go.

I spray Febreeze on the carpets and then decisde to change the bedding. When I take the sheets off, I have to move the dust ruffle over, and look under my bed....

They had put all of thier candy wrappers and a few dirty dishes under the bed to hide it!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhh!

Well, today they get to help me clean the entire house to my satisfaction.

That'll teach them. ;)

Well, I guess we're going to do the marital counseling thing. Went tonight for the first time. Meh, I dunno. We both talked a bit about what we both expected from our marriage, and then we both talked to this guy in private.

Ed seemed to be a bit...nicer when it was over. *sigh* I know he has a lot of insecurity issues, but I'm just a bit tired of that being the excuse for everything.

He is the only person I've ever "been" with, and if after 15 years of being 100% faithful doesn't "prove" anything, then I don't know what will.

But, at least he's willing to admit he made some mistakes and is willing to work on it. I suppose that means something. Right?

Anyway, I'm really not ready to throw away 15 years of marriage, but I wonder if I'll ever be able to really trust him. And to me, trust means everything...........

Ah well............
